That's because Airbus does not officially produce the military derivatives of their products, it's EADS' business.

The most likely outcome will be a conversion to the A32X family.  Smile

Correct, although we are still not given any information as to what is firmed up and what is not.

In regards to the USAF KC-45 order I will wait until the final outcome before listing that order, which for the time being is only for 4 airframes + 75 options.  Wink

One pleasant surprise that has popped up is Etihad's conversion of two A332's into the A333's. This now leaves Etihad with a total of 3 A333's on order.  Smile

It is possible that AC could use these as leverage to get a discount on four or five A321s. However it is more likely that they will just sit in the Airbus order books until they finally write them off. Thanks Wings for recreating this thread with the latest numbers on order and deliveries of this beautiful family of aircraft. It is highly remarkable that the family continues to sell so well. And with the current market situation and the possible uncertainties about the B787 delivery dates, we might see some more orders in the near future. Farnborough 2008 will let us know I guess how much more new orders we can expect this year.

The success story of this fine programme, although already 15 years running, is not over yet, far from it. The same goes for the B777 as well which is around out there for about 13 years now. Both programmes enjoyed updated and larger versions over the last couple of years which have done pretty well in the market.

We can be sure to see them around, including newly ordered ones, for quite a few years to come, even though the obvious successors B787 and A350-XWB are already being sold in large numbers for a couple of years! I for one am pleased about that as I am pleased about the sales of the B787 and the A350-XWB. All sales are good for the industry as a whole!

Interesting that ILFC have only 4 A330s left to be delivered, I wonder if they might order more soon to expand their portfolio. Looks like the end of the line is drawing close for the A340 family whilst the A330 is proving to be the right jet at the right time.

I don't suppose there is a short list of what has been built so far anywhere even better a list of current operators and numbers?  biggrin

I think on the Airbus website there is a link to an Excel style overview of orders and deliveries per Airbus aircraft type. You will find all you want to know about the customers of A330-A340 family there.

Thanks for the update. its very informative.

I didn't remember IT had 15 A332's on order, i thought they were stuck with the number 10. Now only if they order the A346, they would have the entire family of airbus in their fleet.

Out of the 5 pending orders of the A346 by EY, is one of them to replace the a/c that was written off??

Maybe 9W will order more A332!!

What about AI/IC??? Its about time they think of replacing their rickety A310 with the A330's. A333 will serve them well to middle-east and South east asia, IMO where currently their A310 fly to.

I didn't know that ILFC would have such a few frames left to receive. Now that the market is growing and 787 is late, interim lift would be needed. Perhaps a new ILFC order is something to come soon right?

ILFC have, according to Airbus figures 609 aircraft on order of which 542 have been delivered. Of the 67 aircraft yet to be delivered 10 are A380s due from 2013 with 20 A350s due from around a similar date. Only 4 A330s are outstanding which leaves 33 A320 family deliveries to go.

As for Boeings, there are orders for 67 788-8s, 7 787-9s these were due to be delivered from 2010, a slip to the right of 2 years is most probable here. There are only 6 777-300ERs due too.

Who wants to place bets on a good sized ILFC order at Farnborough for A330s and 777s to fill in the gap until the 787s and A350s come on line.?

I too can hardly wait. I'm also counting down the days until Kingfisher receive their A345's and A332's.

We can also add a few more such as Avianca, Singapore Airlines and Hawaiian.  Wink

Since they have not yet been delivered, you will find them in the BACKLOG list for the A340-300.  Smile
